EMPHASIS: Drug Seizure, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop D.


On Thursday, April 2, 2009, a trooper stopped an eastbound 2008 Forest River RV for speed on Interstate 44 at the 82-mile marker, in Greene County. Due to inconsistent stories between the driver and occupants of the RV, consent to search was requested and granted. The search revealed 350 pounds of marijuana. Suitcases containing the marijuana were located inside the passenger compartment and in exterior luggage compartments.

The driver, Christopher L. Ward, 20, of Phoenix, AZ, was arrested for drug trafficking.

The charge for which the above person was arrested is mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of this charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
