EMPHASIS: Troop B Officers To Conduct Selective Traffic Enforcement Operations During The Month Of July 2009


Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces Troop B officers will be conducting four Selective Traffic Enforcement Operations during the month of July 2009.
On July 3, 4, and 31, troopers will focus their attention on alcohol-related traffic offenses on highways in Marion and Ralls counties. On July 17, 2009, troopers will focus their attention on hazardous moving violations on U.S. Highway 63 throughout the Troop B area.
“The main goal of conducting special enforcement operations such as these is to reduce traffic crashes in our area,” stated Captain Elliott. “Summertime is certainly an enjoyable time of the year, and we want to encourage motorists to make driving safely a part of their summer activities.”
