EMPHASIS: Fatality Train Crash

On December 10, 2010, a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup truck was westbound on Missouri Route F, three miles east of Jamesport, MO, and struck the side of a moving Union Pacific train. The driver of the pickup was not wearing a seat belt and died as a result of her injuries. She has been identified as Teressa Wray, 45, of Jamesport. The crew was unaware that a vehicle had struck the train and it continued on until stopping near the town of Lawson, north of Kansas City, MO. The crash investigation is ongoing by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
