EMPHASIS: Drug Arrest Resulting From Indoor Marijuana Grow Operation
On Thursday, February 10, 2011, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 6312 E. 137th Terrace, in Grandview, Missouri. Officers seized an operational indoor marijuana growing operation consisting of 383 marijuana plants, grow equipment, approximately two pounds of processed marijuana, and $7,580 in U.S. currency.
As a result of the drug investigation and search warrant execution, Dennis P. Friedley, 54, and Cheryl C. Friedley, 52, were arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute.
The charge for which the Friedley's were arrested is mere accusation and is not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
