EMPHASIS: DWI Checkpoint In Ray County

Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, announces that members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Ray County sometime during the month of May.
The checkpoint is part of the continuing effort by the Missouri State Highway Patrol to remove intoxicated drivers from the roadways. The checkpoint will consist of officers stopping drivers at a set location and testing those who have been drinking.
Captain Powell stated, “Our officers are working hard to remove the intoxicated driver from Missouri’s roadways. Please remember to do your part. If you are going to drink alcohol, please do not drive.”
