EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of DWI Saturation


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a DWI saturation patrol conducted in Laclede County. The enforcement operation began at 7 p.m. on January 2, 2010, and ended at 3 a.m., January 3, 2010. The saturation resulted in 11 citations being issued for speed and one other for a non-moving traffic violation.
Captain Kenley stated, “During the 2010 New Year’s holiday counting period there were no traffic fatalities in the six county Troop I area. Through special enforcement operations and public awareness campaigns, the Patrol hopes to do its part in reducing all traffic crashes, including those caused by the impaired driver.”
