EMPHASIS: Results Of School Bus Inspections In Troop A
Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee's Summit, announces the results of the school bus inspections conducted by the Troop A motor vehicle inspection personnel. The school bus inspections started the first week of February and ended the first week of May. A total of 2,539 buses were inspected in the Troop A area. Of those buses inspected 2,246 passed inspection, 247 were rejected, and 46 were placed out-of-service. The overall passing rate of the buses inspected was 88 percent.
Captain Powell stated, "School buses are carrying our most precious cargo on Missouri highways. Parents should feel comfortable that the school systems in the Troop A area are doing a good job of ensuring that all school buses are in good mechanical condition."
