EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Open House At New CDL Testing Site
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is hosting an open house on Monday, September 10, 2007, at 10:30 a.m., at the new commercial driver’s license testing site near Carthage, MO. Directions to the testing site are: taking exit 18 on Interstate 44, drive 0.5 mile north on U.S. Highway 71 to Cedar Road, turn east on Cedar Road, turn south onto the East Outer Road, then drive 0.25 miles south on the East Outer Road to the site.
Drivers of commercial motor vehicles are required to pass a written test, a vision test, a pre-trip inspection, basic vehicle control test, and an on-road skills test prior to obtaining a commercial driver’s license. This new location will offer easy access to large tractor-trailer units and will also allow the Patrol’s commercial driver’s license examiners to conduct an increased number of tests.
Members of the state legislature and other officials, members of the media, and the general public are invited to attend.
