EMPHASIS: Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. To Be Conducted In Franklin County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T.” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team). Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will take place in Franklin County, beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011. The operation will end at 3 a.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011.

Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. will utilize six Missouri state troopers to conduct this project. The six troopers have been chosen because of their dedication and leadership in removing intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways.

The purpose of Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. is to increase the motoring public’s awareness of the potential hazards of operating a motor vehicle while in an intoxicated condition, to maximize enforcement efforts in deterring impaired driving, remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways, and to reduce fatalities and injuries through vigorous enforcement of Missouri traffic laws.
