EMPHASIS: Troop F To Participate In "20 Mile Trooper" And "Peak Boater" Projects

Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, announces that Troop F will participate in a program designed to provide maximum manpower during the travel days of the Memorial Day holiday weekend. The program, known as the 20-Mile Trooper project, is designed to provide a trooper at least every 20 miles on designated highways. The designated highways in Troop F are Interstate 70, U.S. Highway 63, and U.S. Highway 54. The dates of the program are May 23, 2014, and May 26, 2014. Marine operations troopers will be providing maximum manpower on the Lake of the Ozarks on Saturday, May 24, 2014, and Sunday, May 25, 2014. Troopers will be targeting all traffic and waterway violations, and will be especially vigilant regarding speed, careless and imprudent driving, and aggressive driving violations.

In support of “The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths,” the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!!
