EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Sobriety Checkpoint

Captain Johnnie B. Hoggatt, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of June, a sobriety checkpoint will be held in Clinton County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol will conduct the checkpoint with the assistance of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.
“ The checkpoints are placed in areas that have a history of alcohol-related traffic crashes and will be of little inconvenience to the motoring public compared to the dangers of these impaired drivers,” stated Captain Hoggatt.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol urges motorists to report all erratic driving. The Patrol has two toll-free numbers for reporting emergencies. These numbers are, 1-800-525-5555 or cellular * 55.
