EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In Jefferson County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Friday, August 19, 2011, in Jefferson County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
A total of 52 vehicles were stopped during the project. As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 12 arrests were made and 44 warnings were issued. Of the 12 arrests, one subject was arrested for DWI, three for speed, one for no seat belt, five for non-moving violations, and two for no proof of insurance.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2011 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”
