EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop E


Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the assignment of two new troopers to Southeast Missouri. The new troopers are members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 99th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 19, 2014. The new troopers will report for duty on January 5, 2015.

Trooper Jerrick W. Myers, of Jackson, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 4, which serves the citizens of Bollinger, Cape, and Scott counties. Trooper Myers is a graduate from Jackson High School, and holds a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Trooper Myers is married to Kristen (Smith) Myers. His field training officer will be Corporal M. Todd Turlington.

Trooper Christopher C. Wakefield, of Bismark, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Mississippi, New Madrid and Scott counties. Trooper Wakefield is a graduate of Bismark High School, and worked for the Iron County Sheriff’s Department. Trooper Wakefield’s field training officer will be Trooper Kendall G. Hampton.
