EMPHASIS: Results Of Interstate 29 Program


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St. Joseph, announces the results of an enforcement program conducted on Interstate 29 during the month of September. The program placed an increased presence of troopers on Interstate 29 in Andrew and Buchanan counties to help curb aggressive driving, reduce traffic crashes, and address other dangerous violations. The following is a list of enforcement contacts for the operation:
Speed -- 127
Seat Belt -- 20
No Driver’s License -- 12
Child Restraint Violation -- 4
Non-Moving Violation -- 24
Uninsured Motorists -- 6
Following Too Close -- 4
Other Hazardous Moving Violation -- 8
DWI -- 1
Failed To Yield -- 2
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest -- 7
Felony Warrant Arrest -- 1
Captain Robinson stated, "The increased presence of troopers at high traffic volume times had the desired effect on Interstate 29 and made the highway a safer place. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is committed to highway safety."
