EMPHASIS: Dade County Stabbing Investigation Results In Three Arrests

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announces the arrest of Antonio Garcia, Michael R. Norfleet Jr., and Terry William Jackson for the assault of Christopher Kelley.

On February 24, 2013, at approximately 5 p.m., the Dade County Sheriff's Department received a call of a domestic disturbance at 105 Dunkle Street in Everton, Missouri. Upon arriving, officers found Christopher Kelley, 32, had sustained life-threatening injuries from an apparent stab wound during a physical altercation. Kelley was flown immediately to a Springfield hospital.

Officers also learned of three men that fled the residence in a vehicle, who then became suspects in the assault. They were later contacted, while in the reported vehicle, near the intersection of Boone Street and Calhoun Avenue in Ash Grove by members of the Ash Grove Police Department. They were identified as Antonio Garcia, 17, Michael R. Norfleet Jr., 23, and Terry William Jackson, 17. Each of these men had also sustained injuries during the Everton incident, and were transported to a Springfield hospital by ambulance. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control conducted the investigation, which led to the following arrests.

Officers with the Springfield Police Department arrested Garcia, Norfleet, and Jackson today at approximately 2:17 p.m. They are each being held on a $200,000 bond in the Greene County Jail on charges of first degree assault and armed criminal action.

The charges for which the above individuals were arrested are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the above charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
