EMPHASIS: Patrol To Conduct DWI Saturation -- Miller County & Callaway County

Captain Michael A. Turner, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, announces that DWI saturations will be held in Miller County and Callaway County sometime in the month of June.

DWI saturations are part of the Patrol’s efforts to remove careless and impaired drivers from Missouri’s highways, and are conducted in areas which have been found to experience a higher than normal number of alcohol-related contacts, hazardous driving contacts, and traffic crashes.

“The Missouri State Highway Patrol is dedicated to removing impaired drivers from Missouri roadways," stated Captain Turner. “Anytime your plans include alcohol, please have a sober designated driver.”

Approximately 63 percent of Missouri fatal crash victims who are required to be restrained are NOT at the time of the traffic crash. The Patrol urges motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
