EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Sobriety Checkpoint & Driving While Intoxicated Saturation

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of May, Troop H will conduct a sobriety checkpoint and a driving while intoxicated saturation. The sobriety checkpoint will be held in DeKalb County and the saturation will be conducted in Harrison County.
The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway that is designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober. The driving while intoxicated saturation is a mobile operation in which troopers saturate a specific highway in an effort to arrest intoxicated drivers.
Captain Robinson urges the public to report all impaired drivers. To report impaired drivers, motorists can use the Patrol’s emergency telephone numbers. They are 1-800-525-5555 or cellular *55.
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
