EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In St. Louis County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, December 10, 2011, in St. Louis County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 26 arrests were made and 16 warnings were issued. Of the 26 arrests, one person was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Thirteen summonses for speed, two summonses for no seat belt, two summonses for driver’s license violations, and three summonses for non-moving violations were issued. There were four misdemeanor drug arrests and one felony drug arrest.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2011 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”
