EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop A

Captain Eric T. Olson, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignment of three new troopers to Troop A. The new troopers are members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 99th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on December 19, 2014. The new troopers report for duty on January 5, 2015.

Trooper Holly R. Stevens, a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been assigned to Zone 14, which serves the citizens of Bates County. Trooper Stevens graduated from Great Falls High School in Great Falls, Montana. After attending Montana State University where she studied cell biology and neuroscience, Trooper Stevens enlisted into the United States Air Force. In her last assignment with the United States Air Force, she was stationed in Monterey, California, where she served as a Chinese linguist. Trooper Stevens is married to Jeremy Stevens. Her field training officer will be Trooper David A. Jones and her immediate supervisor will be Sergeant Christopher M. Gach.

Trooper Emilio J. Villanueva, a native of Nixa, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 11, which serves the citizens of Cass County. Trooper Villanueva graduated from Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri. After graduating high school, he attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in criminology. Trooper Villanueva’s field training officer will be Trooper George B. Wright, and his immediate supervisor will be Sergeant Andrew J. Bell.

Trooper Nicholas A. Perez, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 10, which serves the citizens of Saline County. Trooper Perez graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, Missouri. After graduating high school, he attended Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Missouri, where he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in criminal justice. Trooper Perez and his wife, Jayme (Rosencrans), have a son, Trey, 6. Trooper Perez’s field training officer will be Trooper Liere R. Dancy, and his immediate supervisor will be Corporal Douglas E. Fessenden.
