EMPHASIS: Announcement of Sobriety Checkpoint

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St, Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of March, a sobriety checkpoint will be held in Mercer County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol will conduct this checkpoint.
“Sobriety checkpoints are conducted in areas that have a high frequency of alcohol-related arrests and crashes,” Captain Duane L. Robinson said. “These impaired motorists cause crashes each year that devastate innocent families.”
Drivers can use the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s toll-free numbers for reporting emergencies. These numbers are, 1-800-525-5555 or cellular * 55.
