EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of DWI Saturation


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of an eight-hour DWI saturation patrol, which was conducted on June 13, 2009, in Pulaski County. During the special enforcement operation the five assigned troopers stopped 48 vehicles, which resulted in the following enforcement activities:

DWI: 2
Speeding: 12
Hazardous Moving Violations: 3
Driver’s License Violations: 2
Misdemeanor Drug Violations: 4
Warnings: 50

Captain Kenley would like to remind motorists that in the past approximately 25 percent of all fatal traffic crashes on Missouri’s highways were alcohol-related. Captain Kenley would like to encourage Missourians to be responsible and to realize that alcohol and vehicles are a deadly mix.
