EMPHASIS: Holiday Traffic Totals For Troop H

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces the Labor Day counting period traffic totals for Troop H.
The four-day counting period began at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 31, 2007, and ended at 11:59 p.m., on Monday, September 3, 2007. During that period, Troop H recorded 16 crashes, which included 21 injuries and one fatality. Troop H officers also arrested seven motorists for driving while intoxicated. The peak day for crashes was Saturday, with six.
Last year, Troop H recorded 13 crashes, four injuries, and 11 driving while intoxicated arrests during the same holiday. This fatality marks the first death during a Labor Day holiday weekend in the Troop H area since 2004.
