EMPHASIS: DWI Saturation Results


Troopers made a total of 16 arrests and issued 48 warnings as a result of a DWI Saturation held in Buchanan County. The eight-hour saturation was conducted on December 21, 2007. Arrests included five speeding, one seat belt, one failed to yield, four hazardous moving violations, two driver’s license violations, one non-moving violation, and two driving while intoxicated arrests.
Captain Duane Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, stated, “This operation allowed the Patrol to focus manpower in an area that has shown a history of alcohol-related traffic crashes.”
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has two telephone numbers for reporting emergencies such as an intoxicated driver. The numbers are *55 for cellular customers and 1-800-525-5555 for other calls. The call is routed to the nearest troop headquarters.
