EMPHASIS: Results From Sobriety Checkpoint In Webster County

Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the results of a sobriety checkpoint held in Webster County on U. S. 60 at Hummingbird Lane, east of Fordland, on Friday, July 1, 2011.

Ten troopers stopped 473 drivers and a total of 17 arrests were made and 20 warnings were issued during the five hour project. Totals from this checkpoint include:

3 -- Driving While Intoxicated Arrests
1 -- Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
7 -- Drivers License Citations
2 -- Seat Belt Citations
4 -- Non-Moving Violations
