EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Checkpoint Results


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 154 arrests and 103 warnings were issued in conjunction with hazardous vehicle conditions/safety checkpoints conducted in Shannon County. The checkpoints were held on May 21, 23, and 24 near the intersection of Missouri Route 19 and Missouri Route A. Totals from these checkpoints include:

1 -- felony DWI arrest
1 -- misdemeanor DWI arrest
41 -- seat belt summonses
2 -- other hazardous moving violation arrests
11 -- driver’s license arrests
9 -- non-moving arrests
33 -- no-insurance arrests
13 -- felony drug arrests
41 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
2-- misdemeanor warrant arrests

Captain Chadwick said, “Our goal in the Missouri State Highway Patrol is to ensure the safety of those who travel Missouri’s roadways. Please help us reach our goal by being an alert, conscientious, and sober driver. ”
