EMPHASIS: Troop I To Conduct Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program Operations In April

Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that troopers will be conducting special enforcement operations on Interstate 44 during the month of April. Troopers assigned to these operations will place special emphasis on commercial motor vehicles and criminal activity.
âInterstate 44 is a major traffic artery for the entire United States and runs directly through the heart of Troop I and the counties we serve,â stated Captain Remillard. âTroop I troopers work hard every day to live up to the agencyâs vision statement, âBy excelling as a criminal justice leader in the delivery of quality services, the Missouri State Highway Patrol will ensure Missouri is a safe place to live or visit.ââ
In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
