EMPHASIS: Results of DWI Saturation In St. Charles County
Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on August 20, 2010, in St. Charles County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 21 vehicles were stopped. Of those stopped, 13 arrests were made, and 15 summonses and 25 warnings were issued. Nine summonses were issued for speeding, two for driver license violations, three for other moving and non-moving violations, and one for no seat belt.
One subject was arrested for DWI, two arrests were made for misdemeanor drug violations, and 10 arrests were made for outstanding misdemeanor warrants.
“Sobriety saturations continue to be effective in removing intoxicated drivers from our roadways,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will continue to conduct various special enforcement operations throughout the end of summer and the rest of the year, with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives on Missouri roadways.”
