EMPHASIS: Driving While Intoxicated Saturations In December
Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces that sometime during the month of December, driving while intoxicated saturations will be conducted in Jackson, Cass, and Clay counties.
The saturations are the continuing effort of the Missouri State Highway Patrol to remove intoxicated drivers from the roadways. Members of the Highway Patrol will concentrate their efforts on highways based on a high number of drinking-related crashes and a high number of contacts with drivers who have been drinking.
Captain Robert L. Powell stated, “Do not let your Christmas season be ruined by an alcohol-related crash or arrest. If you are going to drink, please do not drive.”
