EMPHASIS: Captain Powell Announces Promotion Of Trooper Cody G. Dunfee


Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee's Summit, announced the following promotion effective March 1, 2011:

Trooper Cody G. Dunfee was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 3, which serves Clay County. Dunfee was appointed to the Patrol on October 17, 2004, as part of the 83rd Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 14, serving Bates County. He also serves as a member of the Troop A SWAT team.

Dunfee was born in Oklahoma. He graduated from Cassville High School in 2001. Before joining the Patrol, he attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri. Cody and his wife, Lindsay (Rickman), who is also from Cassville, have one son, Lane, 2.
