EMPHASIS: Troop B Transfers


Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the following Troop B transfers.
On February 24, 2013, Trooper Sean Smeltser transferred from Zone 5, Adair and Schuyler counties, to Zone 6, Clark and Scotland counties. Smeltser was appointed to the Patrol on June 29, 2003. After graduating from the Patrol Academy he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 4, Putnam and Sullivan counties. On August 20, 2006, he transferred to Zone 5, Adair and Schuyler counties; on August 10, 2010, he transferred to Zone 1, Macon and Shelby counties; and on January 29, 2012 he transferred back to Zone 5. He is a native of Hannibal, Missouri, and graduated from Hannibal High School. He holds an associate's of arts degree from Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, Iowa.
On March 1, 2013, Trooper Bradley Ritter transferred from Zone 9, Marion and Ralls counties, to Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. Ritter was appointed to the Patrol on January 7, 2007, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop H, Zone 2, Nodaway and Worth counties. On October 1, 2009, he transferred to Troop B, Zone 9. He is a native of Monroe City, Missouri, and graduated from Monroe City High School. He holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. He is married to Deidre (Keithley) Ritter and they have two children: Hagan and Lawsyn.


The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life !!!
