EMPHASIS: Results Of School Bus Inspections In Troop A
Lieutenant Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A Headquarters, announces the results of the school bus inspections conducted by the Troop A Motor Vehicle Inspection personnel. The school bus inspections started the first week of February and ended last week. A total of 2,472 buses were inspected in Troop A area as of April 16, 2008. Of those buses inspected 2,107 passed inspection, 283 were rejected, and 82 were placed out of service. The overall passing rate of the buses inspected was 85 percent.
Lieutenant Powell stated, “School buses haul the most precious cargo on Missouri highways. Parents should feel comfortable that the school systems in the Troop A area are doing a good job of ensuring that all school buses are in good mechanical condition.”
