EMPHASIS: Troop H Announces DWI Checkpoint

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces that sometime during the month of August, Troop H will conduct a sobriety checkpoint. The checkpoint will be held in Nodaway County.
The checkpoint is a static operation on a specific highway designed to check every driver to ensure they are sober.
Captain Robinson stated, “Impaired drivers are dangerous, the checkpoint is an effective tool to remove these drivers.”
Captain Robinson urges you to telephone the Patrol if you observe any vehicle being driven in an erratic manner. Drivers can use the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s toll-free numbers for reporting emergencies. These numbers are 1-800-525-5555 or cellular * 55.
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
