EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop H

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces the assignment of five new troopers. The newly appointed troopers will report to Troop H on July 30, 2007.
The 86th Recruit Class graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City on July 13, 2007. The ceremony was held on the south lawn of the Missouri Capitol. This is only the second recruit class to assemble at the Capitol. The 1st Recruit Class was presented to the public at the Capitol in 1931.
Trooper John C. Gilliland, 23, has been assigned to Zone 6, St. Joseph. Tpr. Gilliland is a graduate of Southwest Livingston R-1 High School and is a native of Ludlow, MO. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Missouri Western State University. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Tpr. Gilliland farmed in the Ludlow area.
Trooper Benjamin R. Hilliard, 23, has been assigned to Zone 3, Bethany. Tpr. Hilliard was home schooled and after graduating from high school, attended Drury College in Springfield, MO. He is a native of Norwood, MO. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, he worked in the construction business.
Trooper Dustin L. Lyle, 23, has been assigned to Zone 5, St. Joseph. Tpr. Lyle was born in Independence, and graduated from high school at Republic, MO. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Missouri State University in Springfield. He currently resides in Billings, MO, and prior to his employment with the Patrol, he was employed by the Republic Monitor.
Trooper Terrance B. Ritter, 27, has been assigned to Zone 2, Maryville. Tpr. Ritter was born in Hannibal, MO, and graduated from high school in Monroe City, MO. In 2002, he graduated from Culver-Stockton College with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Tpr. Ritter is married to Deidre. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, he was employed by the state of Missouri as a recreation officer in Boonville.
Trooper Adam J. Webb, 24, has been assigned to Zone 1, at Mound City, MO. Tpr. Webb was born in Chillicothe, MO, and graduated from high school in Braymer, MO. He is an inactive reserve member of the United States Air Force. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, he was employed by the state of Missouri as a corrections officer at Cameron, MO.
