EMPHASIS: Troop A Promotion


Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the following Troop A promotion effective November 1, 2009:
Corporal Christopher F. Scott, of Raymore, Missouri, was promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 11, serving Cass County. Sergeant Scott was appointed to the Patrol in January 1998, and assigned to Troop C, Weldon Spring, serving St. Louis County. Scott transferred to Troop A, Lee’s Summit, and was assigned to Ray and Carroll counties in 2001. Scott was promoted to the rank of corporal in July 2002. He transferred to his current location of Cass County in December 2005.
Prior to joining the Patrol, Scott served in the United States Marine Corps from 1993 to 1997. From 1996 to 1997, he served as a reserve police officer for the Oceanside Police Department, Oceanside, California. In 1999, he graduated from Mineral Area College, Park Hills, Missouri, with an associate’s of science degree in criminal justice. Scott graduated from Clinton High School in 1993. Scott is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Kenneth F. Scott, of Clinton, Missouri. Sergeant Scott and his wife, Allison (Sexauer), reside in Raymore, with their children: Jacob, 8, Zachary, 7, and Isaac, 5.
