EMPHASIS: Ten Mile Trooper


Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces a program designed to provide the maximum amount of manpower during the busy travel days of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The operation will be conducted on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 and Sunday, November 29, 2009. The hours of the program will be from 12 p.m. to midnight on November 25 and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on November 29, 2009. Interstate 29 has been selected as the location for the operation.
Troopers will be located in both stationary and moving observational positions. Troopers will monitor traffic, enforcing a zero tolerance policy for motorists who are stopped for a traffic violation and are not wearing a seat belt. All other types of hazardous driving will be addressed.
