EMPHASIS: Drug Seizure Made By Missouri State Highway Patrol After Traffic Crash Investigation.

On Friday May 18, 2007, while investigating a traffic crash on Missouri Highway 13 near Missouri Route C, a trooper conducted an inventory search of the vehicle involved and discovered approximately one and a half pounds of methamphetamine. The drugs were located inside a lock box in the trunk of the 2005 Pontiac Sunfire.
The vehicle owner, Karen R. Lewis, of Oklahoma City, OK, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and was transported to St. Clair County Jail.
The charge for which the above person is accused is a mere accusation and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of this charge must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
