EMPHASIS: Troop D Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Totals For August 2008


Captain Randy Beydler, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announced today the results of commercial vehicle enforcement operations for August 2008. The enforcement efforts focused on McDonald, Vernon, St. Clair, Webster, Jasper, and Greene counties. Commercial vehicle enforcement troopers and commercial vehicle officers from Troop D participated in the project.

During the month, a total of 322 commercial vehicles were stopped and inspected. Of the vehicles inspected, 16 drivers and 100 vehicles were placed out of service. The troopers and officers made a total of 278 arrests, and issued 875 warnings.

Arrests include:

45 Overweight Violations
3 Misdemeanor Criminal
1 Driving While Intoxicated
229 Other Commercial Motor Vehicle Violations
