EMPHASIS: Troop D Announces Click It Or Ticket Enforcement Project Results

A total of 317 citations and 367 warnings were issued in conjunction with a Click It or Ticket seat belt enforcement operation conducted in Greene, Jasper, and Lawrence counties from May 23, 2016, through June 5, 2016. Totals from this enforcement effort include:

Speed Citations -- 25
Seat Belt Citations -- 150

Driving While Intoxicated Arrests -- 4
Child Restraint Offenses -- 4
Other Violations -- 134

“The wearing of seat belts by drivers and passengers in vehicles is one of the best ways to prevent death and personal injury when involved in a traffic crash,” said Captain Villanueva. “Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”

The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri's roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
"Don't Violate The Trust."
