EMPHASIS: Higbee Resident Arrested For Anhydrous Ammonia Theft
On March 20, 2009, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Cassidy N. King, 22, of Higbee, Missouri, was arrested for her involvement in an anhydrous ammonia theft that occurred at a residence in Shelby County on March 9, 2009. She is the third person arrested in connection with the theft. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, and the Clarence Police Department are investigating the incident.
King was arrested for the following felony charges: theft of anhydrous ammonia, unlawful release of anhydrous ammonia, and possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container. She was taken to the Shelby County Jail on a $15,000 cash only bond and later arraigned.
The charges for which King was arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
