EMPHASIS: Troop H Announces Holiday Enforcement Program

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St. Joseph, announces that Troop H will participate in a project for the Labor Day holiday weekend to promote driving safety. The 20-Mile Trooper project is an initiative to reduce fatalities on interstates and designated highways in Missouri. The program dates are August 31, 2012, and September 3, 2012. The duration of each enforcement program will be 12 hours. The designated highways for the program in Troop H are Interstate 35 and U.S. Highways 36, 65, 71, and 169. The focus of the program is traffic violations, with an emphasis on impaired driving.

"Labor Day weekend is traditionally the last summer holiday for families,” states Capt. Robinson. “Make your memories good ones by wearing a seat belt and obeying the rules of the road.”
