EMPHASIS: Troop B Area Students Participate In Patrol's Student Alliance Program

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that 26 Troop B area high school students, representing 14 high schools, completed the 2015 Troop B Missouri State Highway Patrol Student Alliance Program. The program was conducted at the Troop B Headquarters in Macon, MO, on Saturday, March 14, 2015, and Saturday, March 21, 2015. During the two-day program, students were familiarized with many duties performed by a Missouri state trooper, and participated in hands-on activities such as firing a Glock pistol, stop and approach, and crime scene investigations. The students also observed a canine demonstration. The program, which targeted juniors and seniors in high school, was conducted to provide an opportunity for interested individuals to learn more about law enforcement and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Each participant was presented a certificate of completion and a Missouri State Highway Patrol T-shirt.
Students attending the program were: Hailey Babcock, of Shelbina, MO; Shelbe Butner, of Macon; Katlyn Kent, of Hurdland, MO; Thomas England, of Edina, MO; Parker Peterson, of Kirksville, MO; Bryson Ames, of Bethel, MO; Jared Wilt, of Shelbina; Jace Glover, of Macon; Ezekiel Schieferdecker, of Hurdland; Grace Fortner, of Keytesville, MO; Savannah Moore, of Kirksville; Dylan Ferrara, of Lewistown, MO; Shawnee Noland, of Unionville, MO; Brandon Preston, of Edina, MO; Cole Collins, of Lentner, MO; Sidney Wear, of Shelbina; Lauren Houston, of Kirksville; Erin McConnell, of Kirksville; Alexander Tubbergen-Maglio, of Kirksville; Ashley Hurry, of Unionville; Luke Anderson, of Hannibal, MO; Walter Reed Jr., of Macon; Jessica Porter, of Queen City, MO; Tyler Bugg, of Sedalia, MO; Kristopher Ruddell, of New London, MO; and Amy Dennis, of Moberly, MO.
