EMPHASIS: Floating Body Recovered From Lake of the Ozarks


The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Camden County Sheriff's Office are conducting a death investigation as a result of the discovery of a body floating in the Niangua Arm of Lake of the Ozarks, near the 11-mile marker, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. The body was discovered by a nearby resident who notified law enforcement officials. Current information is that the body is of an unidentified white male of unknown age. An autopsy is being performed on the body later today in an attempt to identify the individual and determine a cause of death. The investigation is ongoing and no additional details are available at this time.
