EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Special Enforcement Projects For April
Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that during the month of April, Troop I will conduct three special enforcement operations.
These operations will include a hazardous moving enforcement project in Laclede County, a sobriety checkpoint in Phelps County and a three day "Wolfpack Operation" in Dent County. The enforcement project listed first emphasizes the detection of drivers committing any type of traffic violation that may increase the likelihood of the driver being involved in an automobile crash. The primary objective of the other two operations is to detect and remove those drivers from our highways who may be impaired by alcohol or drugs.
Captain Kenley, stated, "If you haven't looked at your driving habits lately, there is no time like now to begin. If you are one who does not regularly wear your seat belt, I encourage you begin by first changing that habit."
