EMPHASIS: Results Of Click It Seat Belt Enforcement Operation On Interstate 35 In Clinton County

Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer Troop H, St. Joseph, releases the following information:

A total of 7 arrests and 25 warnings were issued in conjunction with a seat belt enforcement operation on Interstate 35 in Clinton County on September 29, 2014. Totals from this enforcement effort include:

2--Citations for speed
3--Citations for careless and imprudent driving
1--Citation for failed to yield
1--Citation for no driver’s license

Captain McDonald says, “Motorists traveling on Missouri’s roadways can expect that members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be striving to keep our roadways safe through strict enforcement. Always pay attention to the task of driving, and please wear your seat belt at all times.”

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
