EMPHASIS: New Safe Driving Program For Young Drivers

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announces a new driving program for teenage drivers entitled, “ How To Save a Life”. The new driving program will replace the current program, “It’s My Life”. “How To Save A Life” is somewhat similar in format to “It’s My Life”, and is appropriate for high school and college students. This new generation DVD highlights the four risky behaviors of young drivers through photos, music, and testimonials from victims and family members. The 16-minute DVD will appear similar to a music video, but is graphic and hard hitting. The goal of the program is to target young drivers and educate them against the number one killer of teenage drivers--car crashes.
Anyone interested in scheduling this program should contact Sergeant Sheldon Lyon at 816-387-2345, for more information. There is no cost for the program.
