EMPHASIS: Results Of Hazardous Moving Operation On U.S. 65--Troop H

Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer Troop H, St. Joseph, releases the following information:

A total of 11arrests and 27 warnings were issued in conjunction with a hazardous moving operation in Grundy, Mercer, and Livingston counties on September 20, 2014. The operation was conducted on U.S. Highway 65, and the following is a list of enforcement contacts as a result of the operation:

2--Citations for failure to wear seat belt
2--Citations for non-moving violation
3--Citations for no insurance
1--Citation for hazardous moving violation
1--Citation for driving while suspended
1--Arrest for minor in possession
1--Arrest for other criminal offense


Captain McDonald says, “The result of this operation is an example of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s commitment to keeping our roadways safe through strict enforcement.”

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
