EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Checkpoint Results


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 81 arrests and 51 warnings were issued in conjunction with hazardous vehicle conditions/safety checkpoints conducted in Shannon County. The checkpoints were held on August 13, 14, 15 and 16, near the intersection of Missouri Route 19 and Missouri Route A. Totals from these checkpoints include:

2 -- felony DWI arrests
28 -- seat belt summonses
7 -- driver’s license summonses
5 -- non-moving summonses
8 -- no-insurance summonses
6 -- felony drug arrests
5 -- minor-in-possession arrests
19 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
1-- other misdemeanor arrest

Captain Chadwick said, “Our goal in the Missouri State Highway Patrol is to ensure the safety of those who travel Missouri’s roadways. Please help us reach our goal by being an alert, conscientious, and sober driver. ”
