EMPHASIS: Missouri Highway Patrol To Step Up Seat Belt Enforcement

Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City, announces that Troop F troopers will be joining statewide efforts on February 22, 2013 for an aggressive “Click It Or Ticket” mobilization to get more motorists and occupants to buckle up.

Despite evidence proving the benefits of wearing a seat belt, nearly one in four Missouri motorists are still not making it click. Preliminary 2012 statistics show 64% of individuals killed on Missouri’s roadways were not restrained.

Captain Kindle stated, “We will strictly enforce the wearing of seat belts. This simple task of buckling up can -- and will -- save lives.”

The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life!!!
