EMPHASIS:
Results Of DWI Saturations Conducted In Troop B Area During The Month Of May 2016
Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the results of DWI saturations conducted in Marion, Ralls, and Sullivan counties. The saturation conducted in Marion and Ralls counties was held from 11 p.m. on May 13, to 3 a.m. on May 14, 2016. The saturation conducted in Sullivan County was held from 11 p.m. on May 28, 2016, to 3 a.m. on May 29, 2016. During the enforcement operations, officers patrolled specific areas with a goal of detecting impaired drivers and other traffic violations that contribute to traffic crashes. As a result of the operations, officers, made two arrests for driving while intoxicated, one arrest for a misdemeanor warrant, and issued 16 traffic citations and 40 warnings. The following is a list of traffic citations issued:
3 ─ Citations were issued for exceeding the speed limit.
6 ─ Citations were issued for seat belt violations.
2 ─ Citations were issued for non-moving violations.
4 ─ Citations were issued for driver’s license violations.
1 ─ Citation was issued for an insurance violation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
