EMPHASIS: Traffic Stop In Wayne County Results In Drug Arrest

On Saturday, December 15, 2012, at approximately 10:30 p.m., a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle on Missouri Route U in Iron County for a registration violation. The driver was identified as Gregory A. Gullet, 33, of Cuba, Missouri. The passenger was identified as Kimberly S. Fitzpatrick, 22, of St. Louis, Missouri. During the course of the traffic stop, several indicators of criminal activity were observed causing the trooper to become suspicious. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a methamphetamine laboratory was found in their possession. Gullet and Fitzpatrick were arrested and transported to the Iron County Jail. Warrants for their arrest were issued for the following charges:

Trafficking in drugs in the first degree (Class A felony)
Three counts of possession of a chemical with the intent to manufacture a controlled substance (Class C felonies)
Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia (Class D felony)
Possession of anhydrous ammonia in a non-approved container (Class D felony)

Bond for both subjects was set at $100,000, cash only. A narcotics investigator with the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control responded to the scene in order to process and dispose of the laboratory.

The charges for which Gullet and Fitzpatrick were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
